Apartment Hallway Render

Apartment block hallway

The artwork of charlie chaplin did not exist at the time and was done by myself as a texture initially just for this render. It was painted in corel painter.  The client liked the image so much they asked for a full size (6.0') version to be done for the interior of the apartment. The image was rendered with V-ray 1.5
This 3D render was done for a private client who wanted an image of their hallway outside their apartment to hang just inside the door of their apartment.   It was done to scale and took a half day just to measure the dimensions

Treehouse Cartoon render

Tree House cartoon style
This treehouse render was a labour of love for me.  As a child I always wanted a treehouse building at the bottom of the garden.  Unfortunately this was never to be the case, instead I had to make do with a stick and some mud on my face, then run around my garden making silly noises at my friends.

I modeled this in 3DS Max 2011, using some basic poly modelling techniques.  I wanted to keep the image cartoonish and somewhat dare I say it, "Pixarish". (hence the somewhat unrealistic grass)  Noise and bend modifiers where used to create the dead tree. The Ivy was courtesy of a fantastic script  from a guy called Thomas Luft. You can find this script here on his site.   http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/~luft/ivy_generator/
Where you will also see lots of fantastic renders created with the script.
It takes some getting used too but when you've mastered it.  The possibilities are endless, especially if you want to create old creepy houses, or dense woodlands.

I hope you find this image brings back the child in you as it did for me when I created it.
